General Rules

  1. Competitions are only open to fully paid up members of Bridgnorth & District Camera Club.
  2. All images and prints must be entirely the authors own work. Composite images are permitted provided all component images meet this requirement.
  3. Any image or print can only be entered ONCE in ANY competition and cannot be used again in subsequent seasons. (A monochrome image of a previously entered colour image does not count as a different picture).
  4. Maximum of 2 entries per competition unless otherwise stated.
  5. Competition Secretary reserves the right to exclude any image which is felt to be inappropriate, not in accordance with the ‘General Rules’, or is after the deadline for submission.

Prints: The mount must be no more than 20 x 16 inches (500 x 400 mm). There is no maximum or minimum limit to the size of the print within this mount. The image title and members name to be on the back (top left) of each print.

Projected Images: The maximum size of the image should be 1600 pixels wide x 1200 pixels high for optimum projection. Please ask if you need help. 

Cup Competitions:

Curwen Cup: Monochrome prints – any subject.

Tomkins Cup: Digital projected images – any subject, colour or monochrome.

Frank Hodgetts Cup:  ‘Scapes’ –  Scapes can include landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes, and skyscapes. Any humans or animals should not be the main subject but can be included to give scale or perspective. (Refer to ‘Programme of Events’ for display media)

Premier Print Award: Decided by club members’ vote from all images scoring 20 over the season. 

Premier DPI Award: Decided by club members’ vote from all images scoring 20 over the season.

Chair’s Challenge Cup  A digital projected image competition with an annual theme chosen and judged by the Club Chair. 

 

All trophies awarded will be held for approximately 1 year and should be cleaned and handed in at the advised time to enable the engraving process for the next awards.

 

Inter-Club Battles

Prints and Projected Image entries in battles will be chosen by the Competition Secretary, Chairman or Vice Chairman.
