Results from the Shropshire '6 Way Battle'.

Once again this yearly 'battle' took place at the Shrewsbury home of the Shropshire Photographic Society, so many thanks go to their invitation and hospitality. There were some superb images on show again but none more so than our own members work, in fact the judge held back no fewer than 6 images from Bridgnorth for the top scores. The final totals were:- Hereford 132. Long Mynd 133. Oswestry 135. Whitchurch 137. Shropshire 148 and once again Bridgnorth came first with 164 points. Well done to all concerned and well done to Comp. Sec. Sylvia Evans for having the hard task of picking your images. The 6 images held back were; On Parade by Dave Cooper, 17 pts. Hard Landing by Paul Boswell, 17 pts. Dinas Dinlle by Sylvia Evans 18 pts. Suffolk Beach Huts by Terry Hawkins, 18 pts. Blue Horizon by Terry Hawkins, 19 pts. Snow Scape by Kerry Edwards, 19 pts.

'Match an Image' with Kidderminster and Stourport.

What a great nights entertainment this is, no real rules apply but kicking, fighting, pinching and booing are all permitted!!! Many thanks go to the judge for the evening Alan Lawrence, who had never judged a competition like this before, which worked wonderfully well with the lack of rules!! Many thanks also go to all those members from Storport and Kidderminster who came along and really helped to make the evening such fun. The results had a familiar ring to them I'm afraid, in the 9 years I've known this competition, Bridgnorth has never won, things didn't change..... Final totals were:- Bridgnorth 13 points, Stourport 14 and Kidderminster 16. Thanks again to all concerned.

Many Thanks
